Extended warranty on my 2003 Z4 expired, can I feel comfortable taking it to a place like Jiffy Lube for an oil change?

There may be places less costly than the dealer. There's no way to know if the shop you named in your area is a good choice. From general info I have heard, it may well not be my first selection.

In general you'll get advise against using any of those cheaper national chains for any work on your car.

I suggest that you either do it yourself or find a good mechanic in your area.

I agree. I have all of my work done at dealer. As long as my $$'s hold out, I will continue to use the dealer.
