Donut - It's a different kind of nice, it doesn't have the safety, luxury, warranty, newness of the S4 or E46 M3 but its got much much more. It's got something that car entusiasts envy, the fun to drive factor. I have heard that is one of the funnest cars ever to drive around a race track. To your average Joe driving a ford contour the S4 is a much better car. I wouldn't own a E30 M3 as my only car but if I already had a car or two I would love to have one as a weekend/track car.

I think you should trade, but not straight up. Sell your S4 for $27-$30k and then buy that M3, then dump the rest of your money into your E46, headers, cams, suspension, brakes, ICE, and some wheels.

Its all a simple equation: E30+///M+red=Fucking sweet!!!! I would sell the S4 and but the ///M3 and split the leftover with the two ///M3's.

cam, kbb.com says my car is worth like 37-38k....30k seems way too low! im still debating if i want that car
Jeff, KBB doesn't really mean that much, it's only to be used as a guide. Believe me, if you can sell a car for what KBB says right now you will either be waiting a long ass time or you just get lucky. Right now is such a buyers market for used cars you can't expect to ask what KBB says.

I bought my car from a dealership for under $19k, I am not sure but I think KBB was like $25k or something.

I don't know for sure what your car will sell for but I do know that I saw a 2001 S4 with 28k miles at the audi dealer here for $27k. Also, the S4 could have been purchased new for $39.3k fully loaded, trust me, back when I bought my 540 I came very close to buying one and that was the price I agreed upon with the dealer. Now I know that the avant sold for a couple thousand more but to think a used car is worth that close to retail is insane.

Your best guide for pricing your car is autotrader and your local paper, take a look to see what others are selling for a list your car accordingly.

triggrhappi wants my car, so i could rape him with a really high price :w00t but edmunds (went through autotrader.com) says its worth about 34k....i mean the car is in EXCELLENT condition, i dont think there is anything wrong with it, there is no sign of wear, paint is flawless....but it comes to what id trade it for, yea that e30 would be nice, but i still dream of having a roadster....Z4/Z3 might be possible, but it all depends on how much i can get for the S4, because i really dont want to spend extra money..... :drunk
