Get a shop manual for your car, it will have detailed instructions with pictures.

it should pop out. i dont know what u mean by the cluster tho 
Just use a butter knife and pry the switch from console carefully at left and right side. It should pop out easily. It usually just need good cleaning for it to be working properly. I used electronic cleaner (you can get it from Radioshack) and works like a charm.
