Well I was tired of my 03' BMW 330i and well I was in the mood to trade it in for something a little different. I wanted to trade it in for like a TL, but I rethought that. I went insted for a 01' MB SLK 320. It seems faster and it rides a lot differently. Anyone have or have had any of these two vehicles?

Actually, I just wasn't happy with my 330i. Yes it's nice, yes most want it, but I wanted something different. I usually can't stand having one thing for a long time. I get bored and I find something else that I like. I was actually thinking of getting a S2000, but they have little or no torque @ low rpm's.

i get bored of thigs too... if i could pick and choose what i want every day, i would have to work so much to pay all that off, that I would never get to enjoy it... unless you are the owner of WalMart... then thats diff.

Calm down and stop trying to cause more trouble than we already have. I'd respect you if you were a smart Mustang guy, because smart mustang guys are like smart BMW guys. They know their choice of car very well, they know WHY they chose their car and they tend to respect other people who are knowledgeable about cars, regardless of make.

What you are is a little disrespectful punk newbie who thinks that he knows everything about his car but doesn't know a solid axle from positraction and thinks that a solid axle is a "good handling suspension setup." My suggestion is that you take an auto shop course, maybe read a few of Carrol Shelby's books or whatever and try to become knowledgeable instead of trying to be an asshat and dogging on people all the time.

Oh and M5IAN, you're about a hair's width from getting banned outright.

what the **** are you talking about you are the dumb ass who thinks an open differencial will get beter traction then possy.

yeah you should start reading something other then your BMW books and find out some other methods of performance.

yeah and solid axil mustangs cant handle. heres a little something for you to read

" the GR-40 was glued to the track with a .99-g average (1.02 g's counter-clockwise and .96 g clockwise). Since our GR-40 was by no means maxed to the limit (ride height, camber, toe-in and cross weight), we believe that THWNN (with no change in hardware) would be capable of even higher g numbers (around 1.15 g's, according to Bruce"

all of that performance with a solid axil mustang on the FOX platform(79-93)
well you can read the rest or the test too, it just more and more or that solid axil crap.

Griggs)."http://www.mustangworks.com/articles/suspension/GR40Suspension.html

yeah it look like you need to go do your homework, you should go take a shop class or something

1. I said an open diff would be an improvement over a live axle, which has NO differentials at all. Like I said, you can't tell the difference between a solid rear one piece no differential axle and positraction. Positraction, just so you know is a marketing gimmick. Most positraction rear ends don't even use a GOOD LSD, they just slap on some random viscous LSD and call it a day.

2. It's spelled Axle

3. That car doesn't have a solid axle. If they're talking about adjusting camber and all that kind of shit, it's definitely not a solid axle. You need an independent rear suspension to adjust rear camber, otherwise both wheels are perfectly upright.

4. I respect early Fox platform mustangs. I've seen some amazing things done to them to make them fast around a track. I never dogged on mustangs to begin with, just the live axle in the new one.

330ci's are beautiful, fast, and comfortable cars. I would never trade one in for an acura or honda or a normal benz for that matter. If you are tired of it, just trade cars with me anyday. Mine is better than most honda/acuras.
