i have an 84 318i with new bilstein sport shocks and H&R sport springs. what do you suppose would happen if i swapped an m20 into the 318i? would the suspension be alright? I also want to swap over the rear from the 325i so i get the disc brakes, will my shocks and springs fit into the 325i rear end or is there a way to just put the disc brakes onto the existing rear end in the 318i?

that suspension set up should be fine with the larger motor. As for the rear end I am not sure if it will fit. My first thought would be that it would since it is the same chassis code.
