Ok, in about the past week ive notice about 1 in 8 times when i come to a stoplight and im idling the rpm needle is kind of jumping. I got kinda nervous because i didnt know what the hell was wrong. Is this bad?? Is there anything i can do for it? should i take it into a mechanic asap?? i need some advice. the rpms jump from about 500 to 1000 but as i said it only does it sometimes.

this happend to me too. it could be one of two things...oxgen sensor or idle control valve. bring it by the dealership and they will fix whatever the problem is

for me it was the o2 sensor. i forgot how much it costs but its nothing too major. it wont hurt your engine but you will get poor gas mileage

Mine did that too but only after running the car for a while or when it was hot outside,I replaced my 02 sensor because my check engine light was on and it hasnt happened since and my gas mileage went up!
