I'll help you out bro. You must be talking about tv shutting off the moment you put the gear in drive. www.nav-tv.com can fix it for you for several hundred bucks. I hope I got the address right

yes, the link www.navtv.com has products that can fix this for you.

e36_332i, i'm not sure, but i think the aftermarket products should be able to play while in motion, again, i'm not sure. also, i believe you will need to have a separate DVD player in order to play movies. the DVD's will not work in the DVD nav system.

There is an interlock because it is illegal to drive with a television playing in the front seat of a vehicle.

That said, our local installer deactivated the "interlock" for about $100 after having us sign a waiver (I guess that they don't want a lawsuit regarding an accident caused while "distracted" watching TV while driving!).

It is possible, but the reason is that it's the law, not a problem with aftermarket manufacturers missing a good feature.

To watch the movie/nav while driving, you need to find the wire that goes from the back of the radio to the park switch in the shifter, then ground it out. I had a 2000 Stratus, that I put a Kenwood indash dvd player into. It said to put one wire to the side to the park witch that was ground only in park. Hope this helps.
