You'll need to replace the glue tape. They come with none. I'd clean all the old off, and install new. Put it on the door where it should be, and heat it up with a heat gun, or a hair dryer to make it soft. Press the barrier firmly in all areas to seat it. Heat the barrier again, and press it more to make sure it seals.
IMPORTANT: If there are any small areas that don't seal, water will find it-which is why you need to get the old stuff off. Double layering will leak. The bottom is the most important area, and about midway up the side for good measure.

I think the adhesive is some sort of butyl tape. For good measure, you can silicone the bottom of the barrier after you install it.

I hate that job btw. Barriers suck. It sucks that water enters the car.

Had one door fixed previously and now the other is leaking.
Think the dealer used some pretty thick stuff from a tube on the one still holding water on the right side.
Gonna let the dealer fix this one as well.
Pretty sad with so many leaking BMW's.
How do I get the door apart to see what's going on?

There are 5 screws i think hold the door on 2 on the arm rest one is behind the rearveiw mirror switch and two behind the color trim on the door. My dealership did not fix it :pissed2 it they had to call a different company WATER DOCTORS i believe. even with this company they did nothing i had to call them again Tthey came out to were i work and never bothered takeing the door panel off because of the airbag they said he cracked open the bottom of the door and stuck some two sided tape :pissed2 its worse than before i could have done that ...... so I am going to attempt to repair it when it becomes warmer and find the right stuff to keep it on the doors.......
