i'm replacing the valve cover and all the grommets on a '92 325is and i want to know if anyone knows the actual stock color on the cover?

Sorry, I have a 4cyl, so my engine bay looks completly different.

not the plastic cover, the actual aluminum valve cover underneath. the paint on mine is peeling and i'd like to refinish it before i reinstall it.

when the plastic cover is installed, you can't see any paint............. anyway, for better heat drain you'll paint it black........... :beer

actually, you can see the very front of the aluminum cover. i believe it is 3" X 10" of the actual cover that shows, it looks like a goldish/silver and i'm just trying to find out the correct stock color. but thanks for the advice !

Its silver I don't know any numbers for it
