Hi all
I have a 95 E36 compact 316i
i was just wondering is it possible to upgrade clocks to a 325 clock with the mpg counter?
everything seems the same other then the mpg on the 325 clock so is this possible?

wiring terminals at the back(the unseen part) are different. sorry, no go :-(
calibration of the meters might also be different.

do you think thered be any harm in trying?
the clocks range the same upto 140mph and 7K rpm

And if the fuel tank of the 325 is different, you may get wrong fuel reading.

put a wooden block under your gas pedal. you're driving a 316 if your worried about gas mileage in that you should buy a bike.Lol

im not really worried about gas mileage haha just wanted to put one in to see what i was actually doing since i get (calculated) 25 mpg...
the wooden block wont be necessary either with the mats that scrunch up under the pedals

The mpg guage is actually a vacuum guage with a calibrated "mpg" face. In theory, If you hold the vacuum above 12Hg in or so, then that translates to "economical driving mode".Normal car vacuum at idle is 18-21 Hg in(depending on your altitude). Floor your pedal and u get near zero vacuum in the intake manifold, that means lotta gas wasted.

bummer, not a big fan of floor mats but these factory ones are a perfect fit and because of these clips never move
