Hello.
I'm going to make a couple upgrades to my 545i: I know I want to do the Dinan software upgrade: not sure which stage (I, II, or III) to do. I want the faster shifts and added performance. Any advice?

Also, I'm going to put an exhaust on it. Originally I was just planning on a Dinan after cat system for better sound, now I'm also thinking about the RPI, as it's cheaper. I also have read a number of threads stating how nice it is. Which one would you go with? RPI: cheaper and good sound, quality, and fit OR Dinan: good sound, quality, fit, and the dealer can order it and install (one stop shopping). So... Which would you go with and why??

Thanks for your input.

If by new you mean it still has a warranty, then I would either wait until it runs out to do anything other than Dinan, or do Dinan now. That would be my main thought, the warranty. Stick with Dinan if your 545i is brand new or has a CPO warranty. Best of luck.

It's got CPO on the car for another year. I guess it makes sense to go with Dinan for that reason. The price diff is only a couple hundred. Do the RPI and Dinan sound very different??

It's CPO black with Auburn interior: SMG, sport, premium, cold weather packages, HUD, Nav... pretty much every option but cooled seats, sat radio (pre-wired though), and homelink.
Has factory black M5 wheels, blacked out grill, and bright white angel eyes.

I'm super psyched; my 3rd BMW, but my first real perfomance one....
