I work at a stereo shop and our main thing we do besides stereo is window tinting...the dot matrix problem is very common, on most cars at the top of the window we will not tint over the dot matrix where its like 6 inches or more tall, reason being it is practically impossible for the tint to stick to all those small dot matrix bubbles...When there is a small amount around the edge of the window its really never a problem, and if someone isn't happy with the space not tinted where the dot matrix is, we can put a black vinyl strip on top of it...Now I have seen someone do something and it helped the tint stick...One of our tint guys best friends used some fine sandpaper and soapy water on the rear window of his z06 vette on the dot matrix and it helped...Man $249 for a 4 door car tint!?!?!?! Where do we need to move?!?!? I guess the cost of living can depend on what people charge for tint...down here in alabama we have one of the best tint guys in the southeast with minimal or no "trash" in his windows...for a 4 door car we charge $165 for black/smoke tint, and $185 for platinum tint...we use the best there is, LLUMAR. We also do alot of flame type jobs in the tint...anyway good luck on getting it fixed, maybe this time it will stick!
