My car is in the mechanic shop waiting for a 3.2L engine. My car is 95 w/ OBDI. How hard is the process? I am going to keep my 3.0L engine's intake manifold for the 3.2L engine, hiop headers, aa track pipe, and remus exhaust. I am planning to get pulleys since the mechanics will be working on the engine for a while. How much hp will I prolly have? I need advice and suggest from you people who have done the same project, please. Thanks~

I have no knowledge of any modern mechanical motors but why are you doing this.....

I understand the extra torque you will gain but the money you are spending could have been used for Turbo or Supercharger???

the dreaded money shift huh? That sucks, very sorry to hear that. Did you have the UUC tranny enforcers? At least now you will gain torque that the 95 is missing. :(

Are you still going to get blown??
not just the missing tq that 95 is missing. I will have about 280hp out of the 3.2L in my OBDI w/o my exhaust system. I did not have TME and i am sure i will try them. Jon (98 m3 turbo stage2) told me OBDI 3.2L supercharge will be super crazy. yea, I will sc in the future.
if luckily I found a right engine, fruityone will be playing with my 3.0 engine in his garage everyday lol.

hmmm... imagine what you could do with a built 3.2L OBD1 engine... since it's out of the car already, there's a ton of work you should do before it goes back into something... buy an engine stand the moment you find out if you're getting the 3.2. You're gonna want to build the bottom end now when it's still convenient. You are also going to want to do clutch upgrades so that your tranny will be able to handle the bigger power of the 3.2 (and of the supercharger you're gonna add later on) It's a pain to remove an engine (especially a big one like that) so get as much done as possible while it's out.

thanks. :)
I need to find a good engine first. AA has two 3.2L engines and I might buy 1 of them. They will be adding intake modification and custom chip for me.

well if fruity buys your old engine, I want to help him repair and upgrade it.

I see a custom ported and polished head in that motor's future...

after the engine swap + intake modification, exhaust system, pullies, and LTW flywheel, it should put out as much or more than euro 3.2L engine.

I got a hook up with AA. 4g shipped for 24k miles 3.2L engine :rofl
