Hey I'm about to drop Ebac springs into my 200 328i the car has 20 thous. miles so it's struts are still very solid. The tuner is trying very hard to sell me into struts as well he said that the stock ones will die in 3 months with the new springs. Now, I find this very hard to believe. Help me out some one who has some knowlege on this topic, even if you have some input that would be great thanks. I just don't want to spend over a grand on struts and springs when I have a very good suspension as it is and just do springs to lower my center of gravity and give the car a much stiffer ride. help..

your struts will just have a SLIGHTLY lower life...but not 3 months long....thats bull....so you should be find with just springs, but new struts wouldnt hurt....good luck!

welcome :thumbs

you will decrease the life of your struts, and if they go they wont be covered under warranty ;) its not becuase they are weaker than after market, its just the general rule is you need shorter shocks/struts with shorter springs

depending on the drop, the struts should be ok. it your going really low then you could very well shorten the life of the struts, 3 months isnt realistic, but double that or 6 months sounds more plausable. (even then its kind of a stretch.) anyways, welcome to the forums.!
