Hooo boy. This kid at my school drives this blue type R, supercharged(he says) and all the fart can rice you can put on one machine. Exiting the parking lot,(hes in front of me)we turn left, him in the number one lane and I go all the way out to the #3!!!, I hear that fart can fire up all the way, and we all know how little torque those heaps put out, 1/8 a mile up, my 90' 5 speed 535 BLOWS by, and at 4000+rpms I was pulled into my seat, and I knew I kicked his arse. I waved at him as he frantically shifted and tried no catch up. Those exhausts make SOOOOO much sound!!! If only the car went somewhere... I thought integras were fast, and boy was I dissapointed. The hill had less than 15 degree incline, and my car has a powerflo intake and an EAT chip, not to mention 100 lbs of wicked audio in da trunk. Another fine example of how german engineering overcomes its unworthy competitors. I love my car....

Stupid ricers... :eek:uch

nice kill! Are you sure its a true type R. Once when I had my 540 I raced a type R and we were dead even until about 60 mph, i started to slowly inch ahead.

The Type R did not come in blue. Red, black, white, and yellow were the colors and not all in one year (3 of the 4 per year). So you killed an Integra LS with 145 bhp, which calculates to about 130 at the crank. Or, maybe, it was a GSR with 160bhp, translated to about 145 at the crank.

EDIT - if it was a Type R it would have 5 lug nuts as opposed to 4, and it wouldn't have a sun/moon roof. Plus the interior has different color stiching on the seats than the seat color (like black with red stiching). It also runs 190bhp which is closer to 170 - 175 at the crank. Supercharged it would have eaten you for breakfast.

6 liters, ack. typo! should be cylinders. Correct me if I am incorrect, but arent type RRRRs supposed to be right side drive? I do know its not a REAL type R, and I also know that it is blue(Im not color blind). It does seem wierd how slow it was, so Im gonna find out myself by looking at that heap's engine bay. I know Im gonna cringe when I see those 4 cylinders of pure RIce. :uggh

actually... the type R is a dope ass car. I like it stock form - which also has 4 cylinders.

you raced a masked LS or GSR.... but most likey a masked LS. Even if it was a supercharged LS... you would lose. So it was probably a N/A LS with basic bolt ons.

If it's non US it is right hand drive. If it's a US model, it's not right hand drive. People have imported right hand drive Tegs from Japan, but that doesn't make them a Type R. Again, 5 lug nuts and no moon/sun roof. If it has 4 lugs and moon roof, it's not a Type R. Simple as that. You know the guy? Snap us a pic and we'll tell you for sure.

Again, it it was any supercharged Teg it would have eaten you for breakfast (assuming a capable driver).

Theres the 760Li - 6 litre V12 - 450HP (ish, some reports say as low as 400)

The 6litres 'only' produce 450 HP as it's designed (successfully) to be almost silent. As the revs rise you get that wonderful V12 wail though.

theres more 5 litres :
new m5 (rumoured 500HP 5 litre V10)
850 (E30-era models I WANT)
750 (i or Li) :drool

i agree with lawrence it if anything was an turbo LS, the GSR would eat you alive , as much as the type-R. i think even a stock type-R could beat the 535.

yes i do agree also. A type R would have eaten you alive with a misfire on a cylinder. They have 195 hp N/A and are just plain fast. You most likely as everyone else has said stomped a lil LS integra.

Im not too sure if a stock type R would BEAT a 535, but im pretty sure it would hang with it.

I've driven a few 535s are they are FAST. 208hp and his ^ isn't stock so add a few to that and the torque to match.

Im no expert and couldnt say for sure but i think a few ppl are underestimating the 535!!

TypeR Integras are nothing to sneeze at either. I am not a Honda fan by any means, but power to weight on those things is insane.

My take on this is the same as most others...probably a rebadged low-end model.

To the above poster and all who doubted BMW-> It WAS supercharged, Ive saw the engine bay today. THe hill I beat him on had about a 20 degree angle, and read the story to prove that rice<sourkraut. Intergra beat me. NIGGUH PLEASE.

But a supercharged LS would still only put out around 170ish hp at most. Meaning that you still had almost 40 hp on him. That is still ahuge difference. Besides supercharging a car like that is not smart. Its FWD and has a decent torque band. I coulnd't deal with a supercharged FWD car. The added hp would come in waaaay to early and the even worse torque steer would kill me.

What kind of supercharger did he have?
Which engine did he have?
What are his supporting mods?

It's obviously not a Type R. We've established that fact.
I seriously doubt it's a GSR either, as GSR's in a straight line are just about as fast as an R, particularly with a good driver.

I run consistent 15.1's in my GSR at Indianapolis Raceway Park. My car is stock, with the exception of a CAI, which does nothing but make sound, and trade some low end torque (which I really should try to hang on to in that car) for some high end hp. My friend Christian ran a 14.5 in his GSR, but it's just freakishly fast for a stock car. He only did that once though, more consistently, he's got a 14.8 car.

I think you raced an LS. If you beat an LS, congratulations. That's like beating up a retard. The LS would be a retarded car to supercharge, because the B18B is just begging for a turbo. GSR's are nobodies bitch with a Jackson Racing Supercharger, provided they can go from a roll. Traction issues is a severe understatement if you give an Integra any sort of low end power.

Just for the record, I'm not a Honda fan-boy... I just happen to own a GSR, and it will be my last Wrong Wheel Drive car. It does it's daily driver duties well, but I want something that understeers less than my GSR, and oversteers less than my Z28. E36 M3 is probably coming very soon.
