I'm noticing something - the cap for my oil filer is VERY different from that one, and the one in the DIY section. WTF is up with that? Mine is black plastic with a huge nut on top (bigger than 25mm). Shizzle.
So we inspected the S50, it looks good, although we haven't been able to check out the main bearings to see if they got ganked in the crash. Valvetrain looks good as well. All the accessories were straight proper fucked. The front passenger side engine mounting bracket was snapped like a twig, the housing for the alternator was shattered, the fan clutch looked like it had been raped by an elephant. Everything else looked good. Gonna hold off on the head work until we do a turbo install later on.
actually fan clutch looked like it had been raped by an elephant after i administered some anger management...after being thouroughly (sp?) pissed off the whole day because the thermostat would not budge :broken
