Help!

2004 325i when starting get a plume of smoke out of exhaust, stops quickly. I checked the oil level, the coolant level and they are fine. Have drove the car 100 miles since and it is running fine. On almost every other start it does this. Took to my local mechanic and of course it didnt do it.

I have read posts on head gasket and ccv, does anyone know specific tests for either of these?

if it isn't a continuos plume, i personally don't think there is anything to worry about. Usually it is just unburned fuel residue that is in the cylinders.

No it is a quick burst of smoke and then gone until next time starting but not everytime. If it is warmed up it seems fine, granted I live in Florida so you would think it would be warm all the time.

What would cause the fuel in the cylinders?
