im thinking about getting a scanner....just wondering how affective they are, as in helping you to know whats going on around you....also....whats the range that itll pick up? because if i program all the pa turn pike frequencies, i dont wanna be picking something up from WAY up north...

I have a uniden BCT-12, not sure about range or what not. I am actually selling the thing on eBay next week.

There is a new hand held one that Dado has that you can works for digital, the one I have now only works for analog.

nope. I only have one cig lighter, so until I hardwire my V1 that is where it goes.

is the hardwire the same for e36's as it is for e46s? if so, its really simple DIY...even i could do it!

explain please. police scanner? why need a scanner if you have a radar detector?

you can listen to their conversations, to see if they're out searching for you or something....

hell, you can just use it as enjoyement if you want.

Often times cops don't have their radar turned on, or they use laser....know their location, how many there are..etc etc etc
