Hi! I have a 1998 E39 touring.

I was planning reupholstering my headliner and pillar A too.

But i am wondering, since i have the ITS system, i mean i have airbags on both parts, do i have to have any kind of concern with these or it isnt matter ?

I plan to use something like faux leather or even fabric tissue like the one i have already in my car:

These is my pillar A

What can you tell me about these

Only two things, disconnect the battery before you start removing anything, if you reconnect the battery at anytime without the airbag unit being connected you will trigger the warning light which can only be turned off with diagnostics.

^^ That is clear. However, you WILL have to disconnect your airbags to do the upholstering. That is why you will need to disconnect the battery before you get started, and reconnect it only after you are done and everything is back in its place.

Good luck.
