Hello all!

I'm new here and have a feeling I'll be posting a lot here. I just got my first bimmer yesterday. A 1999 E46. I have lots of things to work through, but hopefully I should be able to figure out/ work through a lot of them.

Was wondering if anybody knows why my fob wont lock my doors? It unlocks the doors, and opens the trunk. Also, all the doors lock when locked from the cylinder or from the lock button. Though fob is a little rough (rubber seems melted/ worn), but the LED lights up for each button press. I have tried to "reprogram" the key, but that hasn't worked.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

As a side question, what is a good place to order oem parts. I need a new glovebox handle.

I was wondering about that. I just dont see why the LED would still blink when pressed though. I was thinking of pullling the melted rubber cover off and seeing what it looks like down there. I'd hate to get another [however expensive they are] key, for it not to work either. Thanks for the input.
