my car has been sitting for two months while i repaired the front end.

i just tried to jump it and the lights turn on but the engine wont turn over. you can hear the repeated clicking of the starter but it won't fire up.

does this mean there's not enough juice?

should i attach the jumper cables to somewhere in the engine? (i've read about the direct port on the starter or something like that but i don't know what that is...)

or should i charge the battery up or just buy a new one?

thanks for your help,
max

ya i don't think its too old.

i checked the voltage going across it durring the jump and it was about 13v
i also let the car sit there running for about 20 min attached to my dead battery but mine still didn't turn over.

you need to load test the battery. or check it's CCA ( cold cranking amps) if you have a shunt and a volt/amp meter you can do this pretty easily. if you don;t have a shunt don;t try it you will fry your meter in .0001 seconds
