I currently own a 2000 323i....

I would like to get the HP and Torque over the 200 mark....

What mods would I have to get...

Exhaust, chip???

any ideas...

Or what mod would make my car quicker in acceleration?
I saw that there are chips that would reconfigure your shift points and helps you out the cars that are automatic???

Any helpful input will be appreciated???

Thanx

I currently have a Dinan package on my 323Ci which includes software,
exhaust & C.A.I., & brings it up to about 190 hp. It cost me about $1700 with labor charges.

To get more than that , you may want to check out Jim Conforti's products, including his Shark Injector, but I doubt you'll get over 200. The best really noticeable upgrade would be a supercharger, which you can get from any number of aftermarket companies (Dinan, E.S.S., etc.). But look to spend upwards of $5000 plus labor.

the home made ebay intakes are trash..dont go for them

gruppeM is very pricy...for the same performance, ecis intakes are prob half the price yet yield to same performance numbers. But gruppeM has the pimp look (carbon fiber and stuff..very very attractive) Both are easy to install. My gruppeM took 10 mins! No seriously, it took me 10 mins, in the dark, during one winter night. Intakes like the DINAN and i think benfer requires the bumper to be removed whereas the gruppeM and i believe ECIS does not require that.
GruppeM is about $500, ecis is about half.

sound wise, majority says GruppeM has the sexiest sound out of all the intakes available for the E46.

any intake will generally give you better throttle response, increase performance numbers, and better sound.

im a happy GruppeM customer. very very happY!

shark injector reprograms the ECU in your car. one of the best, if not THE best software available. Technik software is also good. shark injector is about $350.

------------

soo many exhausts out there i cant really list them all. from the top of my head, i recommend remus, borla, and supersprint. expect to pay in the ranges from $300-800.

Ok I have decided to purchase either the ECIS Intake or the shark injector reprogram..

Which one do you guys recommend me to get first?
I want the quck throttle response?

And is any one else running the shark injector program on their BMW?
Do you like it? Did you notice a difference?

Thanx

i personally would get the intake first.

i havent got around to gettin the shark injector..but i am def going for it in the near future. the advantage of the shark injector is that you can revert back to OEM software status anytime you like.
