I read the whole launching thread. Very interesting. I however, cannot seem to get the rear tires to spin. I want some good long black patches, I want some good donuts, etc etc. I don't want to rag the car, I just want to have a bit of fun once and awhile. I keep the traction control off, but it still kicks in when I try a 5 grand burnout. WTF? :banghead

you have a M3 correct? is it auto? with auto, put it in drive, hold brake, bring the revs up to like 2k and floor it/let go of the brake at the same time, with manual, a 5k drop should EASILLY get your tires spinning, a 5k drop even gets my quattro AWD tires spinning!

i think i can get the tires to squeal (not smoke) with traction control on and i have an automatic, traction control doesn't do to much for my car i can still drift with it on, low speed drifts only, i dont trust my drivin

Drop the clutch at 7000 RPMs......you will get much longer of a tire rubber on road then 5feet

very simple...rev up till the tach needle is bouncing off the limiter and drop the clutch to the point it partially engages and keep riding the clutch and you will be able to continually smoke the tires

you don't want black marks on the street, unless you want to say goodbye to your tire tread
no crap donut.....theres no point to smoking them....there is a point to spinning them a bit when launching....

Jesus. You may as well just take a freaking sledgehammer to your tranny!! 7k drops, rev limiter drops, ouch. Of course, it being an AUTO makes it difficult to drop the clutch at any RPM :w00t

One foot on brake, the other on gas. Should get plenty wheel spin, then let go of break and burn baby burn.
