I have a 94 318is and I have a possible idle problem and I can't pin point the cause.

When the car is cold it will idle fine. But after it warms up it will start to idle oddly by dipping from idle to almost stalling out, then catch itself and go up in RPM then down again... After awhile it will stall. Sometimes it will stall when coming to a complete stop, if not it will just idle messed up.

I have also installed some new items such as the Idle control valve, throttle/speed sensor. swapped out the MAS...

any help is appreciated.

Idle prob

Hi there,firstly i would say try a fuel treatment cause sometimes the injector nozzles clog up with varnish from the oil & combustion mix after burning.
Secondly i have come across a stalling problem where the car would stall when slowing down to stop,the problem was the crank shaft position sensor. Hope this helps.
