i have an 86 528e 5 speed that i got a good price on, (500$) and i was curious as to what performance upgrades make the most sense. i know the e is an economy edition so i was looking along the lines of a chip, intake etc. ive heard of swapping the head from a 525i from the same era to make the engine rev higher but it seems like kind of a wild idea. wondering if anyone has heard of this or if there were any other easy ways to get more horsepower.
