[dangerous]

Can anybody help with my problem ive got my air bag light staying on...is there a way of sorting this easily???? ive been told to put a resistor across both phases this will take the light on my dash out..will this work? and if so how do i do this correctly. my car is a W Reg 318ti compact and the sensor is under the pass seat cheers......:help
