so another funky little tid bit, i was stopped waiting to pick up a friend and saw a tiny bit of smoke coming out from the hood.

i popped the hood and looked it was coming from some oil on the headers...

not a whole lot of oil but enough to produce visible smoke...

i'm thinking the header gasket went bad and needs to be replaced:idea2

anyone have any ideas?

could be valve cover gasket, but you'll want to take a closer look and see exactly where it's coming from, could be head gasket too

check your spark plugs see if they have oil in them, more than likely its valve cover gasket

I'm going to tell you right now it's your valve cover gasket. I have the same problem right now and I know for a fact I need to replace it. Every now and then I'll get a nice wiff of some oil burning and it sucks/smells really bad. Valve cover gaskets are fairly cheap though and easy to replace. At $50 for the gasket and an hour of time, maybe an hour and half if you're thorough and clean everything, it's a fairly easy fix.
