Does anyone know whether my car is obd2 compliant or not, it's a 520 auto' manufactured in dec' '96 and first registered in early '97. It doesn't have the square 16 pin plug inside the car only the round 20 pin under the bonnet. all the sites i've read say that obd2 became standard in '96, but i'm not so sure.
Also if it is obd2 compliant what protocol does it use. I :confhave an obd2 reader that i bought for a Ford scorpio Cosworth that i had a few years ago, and i know i can get an adaptor cable to allow me to connect it to the BMW 20 pin socket, but don't know if it'll work.:conf
