Just bought a 2006 330 CI ragtop. Love the way it drives (and the open air).

Been mostly good, but Tuesday, the front bumper cover fell off when I was backing out of a parking space. I hope that is not a common occurance. I assume that it had simply been drug over too many curbs over the years, but it was a hell of a surprise to see it dragging on the ground.

I see a ton of people on these boards who put an amazing amount of energy into their bimmers - I don't think I have that much energy, but plan to enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the welcome aboard. I did get the car back this morning (a quick 1G later), there wasn't anything left on the inside of the cover to mount to, so it just had to be replaced.

BTW, it just hit 48,000 so I need to make a quick decision about extended warranty - the dealership here (Hendrick) has their own package, anyone out there used it?

Can't say I have or will ever. I try to do as much myself as possible and when I can't get it done myself I have a really good performance shop in town that will lend me hand.
