Whats sup all ! I purchased a 97' Techno-Violet Metallic M3 a month and a half ago. So far I had to replace the clutch/flywheel and the RTAB's. The clutch and flywheel was costly but everything wasn't so bad. I'm in the process of doing all the preventive maintenance. Its a really fun car to drive even though a got pulled by a 95' Civic coupe with a built B16 in it, I was gaining ground back in the higher though. Anyway, I didn't buy the car to street race, i want to eventually put it on the track for a driving school but thats it.

I don't know too much about Japanese cars, but I seem to recall someone mentioning a B16 engine in conversation saying it was low 200s in hp and not much torque at all stock. I assume it is the same engine. Must have put some good money into it. E36 M3s are great to drive, as is any BMW, especially on twisty mountain roads like I have where I am from. I love Techno Violet, post up some pictures of your new beauty.

Sounds great, sucks getting pulled on by a Honda, you would eat him on an off ramp. I recently purchased my first m3 also.

There were other circumstances involved in my defeat like where we raced and the condition of the street on my side was pretty rough for about 25ft or so and he got the hit so he pulled me by half a car and but as we got to higher speeds I stopped his pull and started inching back. I ran out of street and he shut down. But all in all I got wooped !

I saw your post about your purchase, you M3 is sweet ! I'm thinking of doing a manifold change now too but I won't be boosting. I'll probably add cai, catback, and shark injector !

Thanks ! Sometime in the future I would like to get it resprayed cause of all the small chips and nicks in the paint. I have some clear corners and a CF rear deck lip spoiler to put on. I need to get clears for the sidemarker next and velocity splitters and then I think I'll be done with the body!
