Hello guys,

My Radio in my BMW isn't working properlly and i need help. My cassette audio adapter for my iPod has been stuck in the cassette tape for a month now. when it was stuck in there, i was unable to listen to my radio because it wouldn't let me change it from tape mode to radio mode. The only modes i can switch is from TAPE to WB(Weather Broadcast). I just had this cassette adapter removed and I still can't listen to my radio or switch modes/chanels. Do i need to see a BMW shop or anything revelant to that, or do i need to take the radio cassette out of my car and uninstall what ever the problem may be. (I dont no how to uninstall the radio cassette from my car :( )

Anyways any replies to my thread will be helpful. Im willing to rep everyone that can help

thanks

Hi Spnc,
This is a common problem. There is a sensor inside the cassette section and when a tape gets stuck inside a lot of people try to pry it out (bad). In doing so the sensor is forced in the tape mode and stuck there until someone takes it apart and repositions it or repairs the cassette section. That's the best info I can give you at this point. Thank you for using the forum.

Is the radio code for my BMW found in the manual?

I don't have the manual with me, but is the code in there. Isn't it supposed to be on a sticker? I have a 1994 BMW 540i.I need the code because my car's battery died out.
