I have a 1987 BMW 325e and until this latest problem I have been able to jump every hurdle my little reliable car has thrown at me. at first I simply thought it was a fuel pump issue as it just started sputtering and dying on me one day. It kept dying but would start up and run some more but very poorly with about ten miles to the gallon in my 30 plus mpg car! I have since tested the fuel pump, filter and some the lines in between. It starts and runs perfectly when fed gas straight through the intake and then just putts and sputters til it dies again so I know it's not electrical it's just not getting enough gas. Unless it is a sensor but seeing how it tries to start every time and will start if manually fed fuel I didn't know if that was the case. someone please help my car!
