Here are the dyno plots from the recent work on my 2.3L S14.
I had Schrick 284/276 cams fitted, the head was gas flowed and portmatched with the TB's. The engine was also custom mapped.

The engine has lost some torque down low, but I guess this is the trade off for bigger cams. You can see there is quite a dip in the torque curve just above 2k rpm.
It's not until about 4.5K rpm that the cammed car starts to make more power.
It does feel totally different now. From 5k onward it really pulls well all the way to the redline new rev limit of 7800 rpm, where as before it felt like it started to run out of steam before the redline.
It also sound totally different, make a real nice popping sound when off the throttle. Nice big flames when it get hot too :devil

This is the average of the runs that they did, it did 235 bhp on one run which is about 201 RWHP. In comparision stock E30 M3 2.5L Evo III have only made 220 bhp odd crank figures on this dyno.

My car made
197.8 RWHP
230.7 crank @ 6894 rpm
182.0 lb ft @ 6247 rpm

Power rum with cams

ehh i really dont like that torque curve...but nonetheless your car is awsome, and im thinking about purchasing a car exactly like yours, and about the same power as yours...

HEy! its m3pilot go wee! :w00t welcome back man where you been? Nice cams ! Though i must say i dont understand why you have such a large increase at 4.8k and then a huge dip at 5.6k. Is that 3rd gear run only or did you do all the gears? i was thinkin maybe that was a shift point if you did more than 3rd gear. Anyway good luck, and tell us how it is not on the track but on the street. Im thinking of getting 272's

By nature the S14 is a peaky engine, you can see that even on the stock plots that it is like it from the factory.
But you don't feel it driving the car, unless your below 2k and it feesl like you might as well jump out and give it a push to help :p . You can drive around it easily enough,. From 3k you can it really starting to pick up. Hit 5k and it's on cam and just flies.
The dip a about 5k you can't feel at all.
If your pushing on anyway with the dogleg box that is fitted to the euro ones, the car will never be that low in the revs anyway. It will only drop 750-1k rpm on a change so the car will never drop below 6250 rpm which is right where the peak torque and power is. Great for track driving which is what the car is about.

It's fine to drive about, but it doesn't like to chug along in traffic, you know where you have a car in first gear and let it drive along on idle, well it surges when it tries to do that, but if I wanted to drive in traffic I'd have got a nice sensible car :)

So when you consider that, the plots look pretty sweet :D
