Just returned from Galveston to OKC (roughly 7 hour drive) Last time I drove it was in the SUV but this time it was the bimmer. On the way back, it was hard to stay below 85. At one point I was leading a line of cars that included a CLK Benz, older XJS V-12, New Vette, and several sport utes. After getting held up by slower traffic several times, the Jag hauled ass around all of us somewhere north of 100mph. I decided to see how much the wife would put up with and we cruised at 100 for awhile and eventually caught the Jag. I didn't dare faster because I still have 2 tickets on my record and I just got a 3rd one dropped.

Ok so it's not as exciting as a kill story but it still was fun. B)

you gotta love the way BMW's handle at speeds over 100, I bet your wife thought you were doing the speed limit. One time I was doing 125 when I had the 5 and I covered my speedo and made my friends guess the speed, they all thought it was about 80.

On a few stretches I really wanted to open it up but I know the wife only has a limited tolerance and I don't need any more tickets. I try to keep at a speed that I can slow down quickly if needed.

The last one was dropped completely. In August or Sept, I'll have one drop off my record and in about a year from now, the other one will drop off my record and I'll be clean again.
