I am new to this forum and new to BMWs. I have always wanted one and couldn't pass up the 1992 325i that I just bought. The car I now own was originally a German car but was imported to Canada. The multi-information display is in German of which I know none. Is there any way to change this to english? Any help would be much appreciated.

I just found it out.

Hold 1000 + 10 and under Funktion 01 you just scroll through the options by pressing the 1 button. All good.

Now to figure out why it is telling me my brake lights are not working when I can see that they are. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Still love it though.

This cause they work on a certain amount of resitance to tell the computer they are working. If you do not get EXACTLY the right bulbs then it will display the error message.

You can try and stuff around with new bulbs or just take it to a dealer and ask them to fix your brake lights. Surely they cannot charge more than 15 bucks to replace two bulbs and make the problem go away.

thanks so much. next time I am in the city with the dealership, I will ask them about the right bulbs. now that I have the computer running in English, the messages are annoying. Also good to get the lights all working too.
