Hi Gang,

My 2001 Z3 3.0i came with little history. I know just from looking that it has a Dinan CAI and the sport package as I have the M steering wheel, M gear shift knob and the sport seats.

The one thing that's a mystery to me in the trunk is the 5-sided plastic hole in the right-hand side of the trunk. It looks like it might fit the first-aid kit but it won't. Was something important there that's missing?

Also, for my 1964 Pontiac I got a record from GM Canada of how my car came off the line (options etc.) Is there such an animal for BMW?

I never thought about it having any special purpose other than accessing the spare tire and handy for small objects.
