Good day

i am new to the forum thing. Would like some help with my BMW 320i E46 2000 model. First my car would not start. The mechanic looked at it and told me that there was no compression. So they looked and found that my valves was damaged and my vaunhose broke in some way. All this has been replaced but once my car came back i've noticed that when i start-up when car is cold i get lots of misfire and when i drive for about 10 minutes over 60kmph there suddenly is no power under my foot and car starts to die. We had a look and saw that my spark plugs was wet with oil. We replaced the plugs but after 2 days the same thing happens. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME????:conf:(:help:help:help

Possible sources:

1) Faulty piston rings or cylinder walls that are badly worn
2) Bad valve stem seals.
3) PCV valve could be plugged or inoperative

Thanks man. Will take it to a mechanic today still. Could it also be the Valve Cover Gasket. Dont understand why it does this. Before the car would not start i never had a problem like this. Well it's my first BMW and i know nothing about these cars. I will definately check it out... Thanks again...

I don't think the valve cover gasket has anything to do with it.... But bad rings and valve seals seem to hit it on the head. Ask your dealer if they rechecked the compression after the work was done. My thoughts is it wasn't where its suppose to be due to either bad rings or valve seals.
