I just recieved my 325is from my uncle. I want to know what i should change to keep the car running like it was brand new and not 16 years old.

This is what I got done so far:
NEW cat
New O2 sensor
spark plug wires good
spark plugs good
Suspension good
oil okay
coolant good

What i think i need to replace or tune:
Valve gasket
Valve adjustment
fuel filter

I do have a new valve gasket, but its is bent little but, very little. Is it still useable?

The big issue if it is a 6 cylinder it has a rubber timing belt.

That belt if it breaks will make junk of the engine.

It is normally changed every 50,000 miles or every 5 years.

Make sure it is changed or get someone to do it.

Congratulations and welcome.

Here is a link to BEN, BMW E30 Network, lots of good information on e30s there.

CHANGE OIL, Check your gaskets. Change Coolant and Clean water. if not you could be where i'm at :) for just driving it. but yeah change that oil if your already iffy with it. Oil change isn't even expensive or hard to do so go for that. Simple *mod would be the Cone Intake. And if u wanna do a big mod. From a fanatic i met at the junkyard. The "Orca" mod
