I have a 95 318I. I drove it fine yesterday, but when i went to drive it today, i had no power. Once it got to around 2500RPM's, it wanted to sputter. I changed my plugs, the wires look fine, changed the fuel filter. What next? Anybody have any idea of what it might be? Thanks

Do you have a check engine light? Could be a vacuum leak, or a bad ignition coil for starters.

yeah mine did the same thing ended up being the throttle body that needed to be replaced i tried the vacuum hose and that ended up not being it ... goodluck

DOes it vibrate roughly when idle or after put into a stationary gear such as park or neutral ? My 5 did ( vibrate roughly ) and had a significant loss of power. I got it fixed though. Turned out to be 3 misfires on cylinders 1, 2, and 3. I had to replace the ignition coils, and replaced the spark plugs since I was already in the neighborhood lol. ( Replacing the spark plugs was not necessary though I just want to do it). I had to replace the rubber intake boot the was connected to the throttle body boot and MAF sensor. The rubber flexing part ( that was folded like a bendy straw) had a tremendous tear on it. These two things cause my check engine light to appear as 94BMW325i asked you. I would 1st of all inspect the rubber boot leading to the throttle body boot and MAF sensor for any tears along there or any vacumm leaks ect. i'll try to post a pick of what im talking about , and for your car if I find it. Please keep us posted and up to date on this situation ! always glad to help

Ok so here are two picture examples of the intake boot elbow. The first one is from my car ( 99' BMW 528i ) I tried searching for yours, but got mixed images. The second one is possibly what yours might look like. If It isnt, then just search your car for something similar ( with the flexing " elbows" ). Secondly if it's intact along with all the other rubber hoses and vacumm connections, I am almost totally certain it is the misfiring of cylinders that is the root of your problems which would mean getting new ignition coils ( like i did). Just to be certain get the computer checked for codes from a certified mechanic shop and you'll have a more definitive answer.
