hope someone can shed a little light on the subj.

i was driving down the interstate at around 75 when the car shook hard like the tranny just fell out and a couple lights came on , the red batt. light , the orange light for the trans, the orange dsc light flickered and the radio shut off along with the cig. lighter power source. i pulled over thinkink i threw a belt but i didnt. the car seemed stuck in 3rd gear and i could not shift manually. I managed to get it home all the warning lights went off but the batt and the trans light. after i got home i stopped the car and re-started and every thing was fine except the red batt light. the temp outside had been in the 100s all day

any help here would be fine

Has the transmission fluid been replaced?

not to my knowledge but why would the red batt indicator come on an dall the other lights flicker at idle then go off when id rev the engine then go out all together except the batt and the trans light?

Maybe the alternator needs a check. But there may be several issues.
