Cedar River Park, 1717 Maple Valley Highway and House Way, just east of I-405 in Renton.

Participants in both classes will receive Griot's Garage samples, commemorative 11X17 poster, refrigerator magnet and chance to win raffle prizes during the day.

Judged Class
We judge only on cleanliness and not originality. You must be a member of the BMW CCA, BMW ACA or Canadian BMW CCBC to participate in the judged classes.

Cars are judged in three major areas: Exterior, Interior (including trunk) and Engine Bay. The underside of the car is not judged. Each class is judged by a three-member team whose independent results are then totaled to determine a score. This process is designed to be as fair and objective as possible. For class competition there are bonus points for mileage, which evens out the competition for high versus low mileage cars.

Best in Show is determined by taking the top BMW from each class, and lining them up for a final review by a 3-judge team. Previous scores are not considered as the judges choose the cleanest, most dazzling BMW on the lawn.
You can find the judging philosophy documents here

Display Class
The Display Class is a terrific way to take part in the event for those who don't wish to compete but want to come and show off their car. Just wash it, clean the wheels and you'll be good to go. You'll be parked with the judged cars in your class.

Judged Class $30 ($40 after 7/23)
Display Class - member $20 ($30 after 7/23)
Display Class - non-member $30 ($40 after 7/23)

Sponsors
Thanks to our sponsors!
Our event this year is once again being sponsored by a generous donation from BMW Seattle. Next time you are at the dealership, be sure and thank them. BMW Seattle is providing the beautiful glass trophies as well as raffle prizes.

Griots Garage will also be in attendance as the official Car Care Sponsor of our event. Griot's Garage will be providing free samples for our participants, raffle prizes and will have representatives on hand demonstrating how to use their products. Griot's Garage will present a special Preservation Award for the BMW that is best preserved without a restoration.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Renton Lions Club.

Food and Beverages available @ 10:30 am
BBQ2U is a local BBQ catering company and will be there to quench your thirst and fill up your tummies.

Volunteers Needed
If you are interested in volunteering to help at the event, we need your help. We need people to judge cars, help with check-in, coordinate parking the cars, help in the children’s tent, etc. Please contact event chair, Michelle Miller if you are interested at 253-334-9948 or [email protected]

Should we set up a Pre-Meet Location and Time?

One of our club members is bringing a 1975 Factory Group 5 CSL to display at the concours. What will you be bringing?

Register Here

A little about the car:
It is one of 4 cars built in late 1974 with IMSA specification. It ran Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta in 1975 with Hans Stuck and Sam Posy behind the wheel. In June of 1975 it returned to BMW Motorsport for use in the European Championship. It had wins at Nurburgring and Zandvoort. In 1976 th chassis was updated by BMW Motorsport to Group 5 specification for the new world championship. It came in 2nd in GT and 10th overall at the 1976 24 hours of Le Mans with Grohs/Posey/de Fierlant. 1st at Kyalami with Scheckter/Nilsson/Grohs. It was sold to Vasek Polak and only ran 2 more races, Laguna Seca 1977 and 1978 with Milt Minter driving.

The car was still in the Vasek Polak collection at the time of his death, was sold to Rug Cunningham and campaigned in vintage races 4 times before trading hands twice to the current owner from Melbourne Australia. The car
will be racing at this years Monterey Historic Automobile races August 12-15.

Register for the concours and get your car on the lawn with this cool piece of racing history. Register Here

For the Pre-Meet, Im thinking the Starbucks right behind the Bellevue Nissan Dealership. Here is the address for the Startbucks, 661 120th Avenue Northeast, Bellevue, WA 98005. How does that sound? Besides the location, we need to set up a time as well.
