Looking to purchase my first BMW either a Z4 or Z4 M. A bit confused. The 3.0si are being listed in the mid to high 30s if CPO. However on sites like autotrader and Carmax about 5K less! If I purchase a vehicle with under 20K miles and its an 07 I'll be good for another 3 years. Will not be putting on tons of miles(just weekend drives). So for an extra say 5K Im covered for an additional 2 years. Is that right? Seems like alot for an "extended warranty" of 2 years. Your thoughts? Also how are BMW dealers in service dept if the car is not CPO and more importantly if not bought at their dealership? Am I a second class citizen or am I a first class Bimmer owner?

Personally, I'd have a lot more confidence in a CPO because of the better known car history. A good service history and a crash free chassis would be important to me.
