Infiniti G35 rumors

So the word on the street, is that Infiniti is supposed to drop a few more bombshells, on their competitors, over next next few months.

The first one will be the launch of an AWD version of the G35 sedan.

Bombshell number two is the forthcoming G35 coupe/convertible.

Finally, there is even a rumor that a G35 four-door convertible could appear, as well.

i LOVE the G35 coupe, the 6 speed is so smooth. i test drove it for fun once. the interior wasn't nice as bmw, but it's allright. and it's definitely on the top 5 best looking cars made today.
i like the G35 coupe also, but the sedan is kinda ugly/boring

four door convertible would never happen....the rigidiy would go to hell with 4 doors...
infiniti's rear-biased AWD is supposed to be one of the best......and with the looks of the nxt-gen 3 series, its a race between them and mercedes

and volvo, and all those other car makers :p

I doubt you'll see a convertible G35c but it might happen. The 350Z covers that spectrum except no back seats.
I think it will happen, but it will be a 2-door. As for the AWD, that would be cool, but only if it has a version of the RB26DETT.

Give it rear suicide doors like the '64 Lincoln continental (Remember the car on Green Acres?)
Yeah, I dont think there is any continutity between the G35 coupe and sedan. I LOVE the coupe's ass, soo hot, IMO. A four door covnt of the G35 will probably not look good. The AWD should be interesting, but what kind of experience does Infiniti/Nissan have with transfer cases and such? I think the AWD system might be problematic, but I think they had some sucess with their trucks. Or if they imported the transmission parts from the Skylilne, that would be nice, but expensive.

They have plenty of experience with all parts AWD. =) The Skyline is probably the most well-known AWD out there but any form of the ATESSA seems to be good. Gotta remember that the G35 IS the Skyline. They already have the current Skyline with the AWD system and the CVT transmission. If you thought that the G35 was already tall then just wait till the AWD system is out... expect an inch in height.

Skyline series(ATESSA generations)
Stagea series(wagons)
Pulsar GTI-r

Those are the big name AWD systems they have. What's nice about the ATESSA is it's RWD bias(as mentioned)
