Hey all.

I have a 1995 318i and i am trying to fit and induction kit on it.
Now it looks like the MAF is square and my kit i have is round, The other thing i see is befor the maf and thats round but what damage will it do to the engine as i have never had a bmw.
Is there anyway around this or is the only way is to buy a kit via K&N?

I haven't seen a whole lot for the 318i unfortunately.

Yeah i been told that i need to get a K&N panel filter :-(

Depending on your level of comfort, you could always build one yourself.

And how would you go around doing that

Well, I've never built one from scratch but you can get all the parts you will need from pretty much any auto supply store. You're going to need some pre-bent piping, hose clamps, air filter, and some rubber pipe seals.

Above I provided an example of a home built CAI on a VW Gti. It's obviously going to be slightly different on a BMW, but the concept remains the same.

Well it sounds decent.... nice noise also... The only thing i have with mine is it looks square.... Idon't want to touch the MAF as you could understand as the car will misbehave. Would a pic be more useful? if so ill take a pic and show you.
