Does anyone know how much do body shops charge for complete re-paint (same color repaint), I live in the Los Angeles area. What is a reasonable price?
If anyone could recommend shops in LA or OC areas.

im in body business and you could spend between 3 and 7k easily. even more for color change. depends on amount of ding and cosmetic work prior to paint and expectations. some money can be saved by masking all trim vs removing and installing. most reputable shops would decine to warranty job if taped off. cant help you on a place though. just fyi, we did a mary kay pink caddi and turned it emerald green... 12,000$

I just got my red 87 325i convertible completely repainted by a shop in North San Diego county. $3,000-$7,000 is a good planning range.

I did all the removals (grill, bumpers, mirrors, trim, lights, spoiler, etc) and some minor masking and stuff.

After the paint I put on all new lights, grill pieces and other stuff. My wallet hurts but the car looks great. Really like new.

Then to finish it off I got that 3m clear film put on the front to protect from rock chips.

Good luck on your project! :driving

3-7k is a good range, thats for a excellent quality job and top products(low voc products are a little more $$, or so ive noticed.) Also, your paint job will only be as nice as the substraight beneath it. You dont want to build up mils, so think about media blasting everything with a company who specializes in it. It should be around $300-$500. This will give the paint shop a good substraight to finish over.
