I think that depends on your idea of good money. I personally couldn't tell you anything about an M3, but i like my 325. That's just me, and sometime in the future I'll start looking at some other models, but for now, I'm satisfied.
the the differnce between 189 hp and 240hp is a biggy and the body kit which i would put on a 325 and evyerthin elseOriginally posted by 87 325@Apr 22 2003, 01:00 AM

it's not a bad thought if you are making enough cash. However I would not recommend an M3 to any 16 year old. Get a 325 and learn to drive first, once you can handle the 325 and you have learned to drive it to the limits then think about an M3.
240 hp might not seem like a lot but I can tell you that the M3 has a shit load of power and is very fast, very easy to get yourself into trouble. I'd hate to see you buy an M3 and crash, even worse hurt yourself or someone else.
i bet it does pull...and i already know how to drive stick..took my step moms focus out over the summer and drove it..haha..im alright..not the best..but i dont stall..hehOriginally posted by SpeedsterBMW@Apr 22 2003, 05:47 AM
i learned to drive on my dads '98 E36 M3 4door, 5spd. Like cam said, even though it only had 240hp, it still pulled like a MOFO...learning to drive stick, i spun the tires a few times when that bmw torque got to me...still a overall awsome car (wish the interior could be a bit nicer) with stellar performance....definatly get a M3 or a used 330i Performance package (5 less hp, but 6spd, 0-60 in 5.9, i think that beats a e36m3?).....![]()
