Hi All,

I just joined this forum and I am hoping to get advice to prepare my car for racing.

I used to have a 2006 M3 which I recently returned (lease-end) and tomorrow I will be buying a 2000 328i w/Sport Package to prepare for racing. I have no idea what I need to modify on this car to make it a robust and powerful racer -- so thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome. If you are buying a car that is still under warranty I suggest Dinan, they are reputable, they provide a good product, and they don't void your warranty.

Welcome to the Werkz! The M52TU in the 328i is a pretty robust engine and there is an extensive amount of parts available for it. Definitely beef up the suspension and brakes first though. That would be my first area to look at before anything else.

they still offered the 2.8 engine in the e46? Didn't know that...
