uhh? what? The Z4 is the better looking then the new 7...not only the looks, its driving dynamics....go drive one, better yet, go drive a new 7 and youll forget all about looks...please drive one before you make false acuzations about the ultimate driving machine (and that they are)

well i dont like the way BMW (or any car manu. ) is going. All saftey saftey interior bullshit that you dont need. I say go back to producing 2002 and e21 similar cars with small engines but sweet power to weight ratios. Who the hell needs a self manipulated instapated autonavigated GPS system with onboard pizza warmer? Shit if i didnt live in florida my A/C would be in the trash. And if i didnt car pool to school my back seat would be out also. As for saftey... fuck it. Seat belts in a light yet very ridgid stiff car is the best saftey. Fuck the 16 multi directional airbags. I dont want my head surrounded by small explosive charges that ram bags of hot air at my nose at 300 mph. (yes airbags break noses) Back to the basics people.

well I for one appreciate safety in cars, I don't want my family to be hurt or anything if something happens.

You also may not like the styling direction that BMW is going but maybe you should go drive a new 7 series, I think you'd be suprised that it handles as good as your car.

my friends mom has a Z4 and it's bad ass.
dam straight, the z4 3.0 does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and pulls MORE g's on the skid pad then a porsche boxster s

as for safety? i hope some women in her excursion comes and rams you right into a telephone pole....because if she does it to me, my engine compartment will crumple, and my rigid passenger compartment will be safe, my 3 airbags per person up front will also aid in my safety (the new 7's have 4 each)....better safe then sorrry, but i DO recall that even though my car is heavier...it will out accelerate a e30 and e36 m3? as long as handling improves, and acceleration improves, thats all i care about....

yea... im not really that emphatic (or whatever the word is) about the hole issue. I just think that all this new stuff they are putting in cars is a bit much. I still like the z4, i just hate the front grill. The 7 series is great. just a bit bulky. Sometimes i get carried away with whatever im saying. ok ... always. I just think that BMW should still sell at least 1 model of the 3 series or the upcoming 1 and 2 series that goes back to the basics with no interior, small car, that all the money has been dumped into suspension and a nice smaller engine. All the engines have been recently getting larger and larger 3.2 liters up to 6 now. I just would like a 2.5 liter engine again. Ok there i go ranting my ass off again im a arrggg matteey

whats the word that im thinking of, when a car company dumps all the money into drivetrain/suspension, o i know! a japeneese car....i never owned a e30, but i do know that bmws arent the fastest cars, nor the best handling cars in the world (the best in their class though), but they are known for their high speed stability, their VERY professional and beautiful interiors. To say to BMW stop paying such attention to detail on the interiours is absurd. The latest motor trend article that paired the z4 and the boxter s, MT was raving about the z4 interior! not much was said about the exterior because it is more then acceptable. While i do wish my car was only 3000lbs, cars are getting heavier, but even heavy cars can go faster and handle supurbly. look at the sl55 amg, 4310lbs, 0-60 in 4.39 seconds, and pulls a faster slalom time then a Z8 (by .2mph) and did i mention better braking then the Z8. Yes, i would like lighter cars, but the fact is, it looks as if cars are getting fatter, just like people.....whatda gunna do?

hey im with ya fox... supercharged 2.5's!!!! 290hp on a 189hp chasis........ vroom... And for stability at highspeeds... I may not know all about exhaust, engine shit, turbo's, supers, blah blah what i do know is that highspeed handiling is defined at wieght... you try to pull a slightly hard turn at 130 even in a 7 series you would loose control.... have fun.... ill race ya at 150 anyday and beat yo ass up and down even in your m3 boyo!

kmracing, i dont know what you drive, but i bet the new 7 will out handle it, lol, ask cam, youd be suprised how well those big ass things handle, virtually no body lean...and no its not about weight, its more about suspension, tires, and engine......i cant think of any really light cars that can hit 180+....all the cars that can do that are at least 3000lbs most of them 3200+

nah a 7 series could take a 130mph turn, maybe a E38 couldnt but the new 7's are so advanced i dont know where to start.

hmmm well actually who here has raced at 130-60?
you can say all you want about suspension... until YOU actually take the car up to 130-60 and take it on a turn then we'll see. But i guess your right... even though ive raced some of the fastest cars at 150+ miles per hour... you do need power to get at the higher speeds but ive overtaken a ferrari in my car at 150... It takes a good racer to actually get up to the speeds tho. If you just take it up to 180 in a ferrari and take the turns (on our 24mi sprint) you'll end up in the dirt or dead. So if you dont believe me on overtaking a ferrari thats how i did it. It was my uncle driving and he doesn't race that much. He won though he had a fricken ferrari. Ive beaten a lotus with skill and a bunch of other cars.

KM Racing - What do you drive, I have a hard time believing you can overtake ferraris especially at speeds of 100+. Did you also say you could corner better then them?

it will out accelerate a e30 and e36 m3? as long as handling improves, and acceleration improves, thats all i care about
Hate to break it to you but both the E30 and E36 M3 will out handle the E46 M3. True can smoke us on acceleration but not handling. The E30 will always be one of the most amazing cars as far as handling goes, not much can compete. Ask Trigg about his friends E30 at the track.
