Hi, I'm trying to connect an aftermarket Alpine IVA D106 to my HK 10 speaker system. Can anyone help me with the wiring harness diagram...please. i have no clue whats going on at the back of my factory system. :help :(

output to amp:

Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Red/White
Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Purple/White
Radio Ground Wire: Brown
Radio Illumination Wire: None
Radio Dimmer Wire: None
Radio Antenna Trigger Wire: White
Radio Amp Trigger Wire: None
Front Speakers Size: 5 1/4″
Front Speakers Location: Kick Panels
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Yellow/Red
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Brown/Orange

Thank You. This really helps. Sorry if I sound really silly. I'm kinda new to this radio thing.
My factory radio (BMW Professional, I assume) was stolen before I bought this vehicle. It currently has a ten speaker Harman Kardon system connected.

Does all the speakers get its current feed from the amp. I ask cos, I need to connect my new Alpine in. Do I just connect the line out feed to the amp and will all the speakers start playing or just some of it

I have three speakers on each front door, one on each rear door and two enclosed boxes on the rear panel (Below the rear windscreen). Does all get it feed from the AMP. or does some get feed from the deck itself.

What wire can I connect to send feed (line out) to the amp. I have RCA out from my Alpine. How do I connect this to the amp.

I know you might think I'm nuts at this point but please help.

ah I dont think your nuts but you have your work cut out for you. I had similar problem when I bought my car but I choose to replace the amps and all. I used the factory wiring only to bring the signal from my new amp to the speakers. You can try to go from the new deck to the factory input wires to the amp.(I would buy a wiring harness from ebay)

Checked out the link. Will I still need the factory harness if I'm fitting an Alpine radio. I have the factory harness in the dash in front. just the plug has been cut off, wires stil there. Could I not connect the Alpine wires directly to the remaining cables in the Dash

line out from the alpine being the speaker out or the remote turn on for the amp?
if you are referring to speaker out I would just use the high level output from the deck. if you dont have speaker level outputs you are goin to need to put an aftermarket amp in.
if you are referring to power use remote out blue wire on deck.
