DTM exhaust tips

Does anyone have any comments on DTM exhaust tip... (good, bad, ugly.....) Or have other suggestions. I've seen then on E46 and they look good, but I haven't seen them on E36. If anyone have pics that would help in my decision also.

thanks

dont wanna flame, but IMO they look bad, especially on a bimmer, it just doesnt flow/doesnt belong to a bimmer. the most simple dual circle/oval pipe is best IMO
I think it looks OK like on Cams. I've seen some that don't look right. I don't think it would look right on a 5 series.
It looks good on Cam's bimmer (4 door sedan). I was wondering if it'll look good on a sedan. I was deciding on DTM or retangle/oval (like remus tips)

ya they good if they dont stick out to much..then there nice...its all up to ur style and feel
I actually like it a lot on my car, at first I was un-sure but the more I look at it the more I like it. I think it would look even better if I had quad exhaust. I have also seen them on the E46 M3 and the E39 M5 and they look very bad ass!!

IMO the only car I have really seen them on that I do like is bimmers.
Cam,

I would go for round or oval tips like the Remus.

But then again, its a matter of taste, and if you like the DTM version, well then, am I sure that they will look great on YOUR car.

If you are planning to get SS header and SS resonator, would I strongly advice you to get SS muffler, then will you be certain that you have an exhaust system, that is guaranteed to boost power.
joshpine..wha would u recommend for UUC exhuast sinch im leanin to that way when i get my e36
Josephine,

I already have the SS DTM exhuast :D
Personally I think DTM tips are about as ricer as can get without going coffee can. Its trying to draw attention with the big crush and flair. Id rather have no one look at my car because it doesnt look special or snazzy or ricey. As for the oval tips (like the scorpian one im assuming you mean) ... eh... that one is debatable... ive never seen one in person so i cant judge but they might look ok...
cam are you goin to get clear corners to get rid of the yellow lights on the rear of your car?

that's a pretty long sentence

Come on Fox, tell us how you REALLY feel

I like the DTM tips, but it does depend on the application. Specifically how the whole thing flows. Eh, whatever. I'm gonna get a Greddy exhaust for my Bimmer either way ... 4 inch tip ... chrome with the LEDs. THAT looks HOT BABY!!! YEAH BABY YEAH!!!! ... I just hurt myself ...

I sure am!
Everyone has their own opinion on what they like and what they don't like, personally I like it and to me that is all that matters because its my car. I don't see how it's drawing attention, the exhaust is not bigger or louder it just slants up in the back, not a real eye catcher if you ask me, but then again it's your opinion.

However, can you please explain how DTM exhaust is rice? You obviously don't know much about DTM exhaust tips do you?

They were actually developed for european race cars, the reason they are slanted up is so the exhaust does not blow debris on other cars, etc etc.
Sorry, I want to apologize, i probly did come off as trying to make my statements facts but yes i know they are only my opinion, sorry didnt mean to sound pushy or anything just my preference.

Secondly yes i know their origen (i just spelled that 4 times and idont know how its spelled...) but around here in florida every honda, acura, toyota that doesnt have a 4 inch TIP has DTM. Around here it just has the reputation of rice.
no need to apologize...all opinions are welcome...if we all liked the same thing life would be very boring!
I went out to my buddies shop and spent an hour staring at the different tips and I finally decide on DTM. I Wanting something different and after see them on other bimmers (many E46 ) I went with them.
nice choice..its all up to ur wants in a car..just lik wha condoms to use..magnum(me :) ) or extra senstive or just other companys for parts if u wanan put it that way
